Deuteronomy 8:3 tells us that "man shall not live by bread alone; but...by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord." Have you had your Word today? In Psalm 199, 171 of its 176 verses mention the Word of God directly. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path" (Ps. 119:105). How many times have you asked the Lord for guidance and direction in your life? How many times have you asked for God to show you His will for your life? How many times have you sought answers to your questions in His Word.
God has spoken to us in the Bible. It is his clearly written instruction guide for living (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth). And yet, many of us can't find the time in our busy days to search for the answers He has to our questions. I'll bet you found time for a lot of things that don't impact your life positively over the past few days; TV shows that promote immoral living, sporting events that hold your attention more acutely than your pastor's sermon, drinks with the guys to talk about how tough life is, a five hour round of golf last Saturday. With the exception of the TV garbage, none of these activities is wrong. Not reading the Bible because you don't have the time is.

...God has given you all you need. He sent His Son to the Cross for you and He gave you the answers to all your questions about how to live as a real Christian man. Read the Bible every day. One way to start is to read a Proverb each day (31 of them, one for each day of the month plus a bonus in some months). Start reading one of the New Testament books. Study it. Reflect on it. Become a man of the Word.
