GOLF IS OUR BEAN FIELD

We like golf. We wish we could play more. Golf allows us the opportunity to defend our faith and share the saving grace of Jesus Christ. There is a wonderful story from the Bible in 1 Chronicles 11: 12-14, that describes David and one of his mighty men, Eleazar, defending a bean field against that Philistines after David's own troops had fled out of fear. The troops fled but David and Eleazar defended the field and struck the Philistines down. The LORD brought a great victory.

Mission Statement

The Paraclete Golf mission statement is to obey the Great Commission found in the Holy Scripture of Matthew 28:18-20.

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

History

Men's Golf Night, or "MGN" as the members call it, was formed in 2004 by Bob Kerr, Mike Kohl and Eric Seatvet. Our idea was to create a front-door ministry for men to gather together in fellowship, playing golf, and at the same time build programs that would allow us to serve the LORD and follow the Great Commission. MGN led to the creation of Paraclete Golf.

Paraclete Golf was formed in the fall of 2007 after a men's retreat in East Texas. Rick Carey joined in 2008.
